About The Author

Almavida Galinato Mara stands as a luminous testament to the power of creative resilience. A proud Los Angeles native with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Biola University, she has masterfully woven her pedagogical expertise into the fabric of her storytelling. As a devoted mother of three, Mara understands the transformative impact of narrative on young minds; a knowledge she's brilliantly channeled into Winston's extraordinary journey.

What began as her sister's simple suggestion to "tell a story" blossomed into an imaginative universe where a humble walrus's determination mirrors Mara's own life philosophy. Despite facing personal obstacles that might have deterred others, she embraced these challenges as plot points in her own hero's journey, ultimately transforming them into stepping stones toward literary achievement.
